Enterprise Training Programme Overview

WHK Business Growth is working with the Government to build the management and business capability of small to medium sized businesses based in the Auckland area. This initiative is called the Enterprise Training Programme (ETP) and has been fully funded (free to qualifying businesses) via New Zealand Trade and Enterprise.

Who can attend

To be eligible to attend you must:

• Be trading - as a business or as a sole trader / freelancer
• Be operating for profit. Charitable Trusts are unfortunately not eligible.
• Be the owner, operator or manager within the small to medium enterprise
• Employ less than 50 full-time staf (Full time = 30 hours or more per week)

Please note if you are yet to start a business, you can also apply to attend our Starting a Business (BIZ Start) series of training workshops.

Cost

The Enterprise Training Programme is fully funded by the Government. Your only investment is your time, effort and commitment.

A Three Step Process

1. Business Assessment
   You will begin the Enterprise Training Programme with an online assessment questionnaire. This will be followed by a one-on-one session with a WHK Business Growth advisor who will work with you to assess your needs, identify the management skills you require and develop a plan to help you acquire them. 
    
2. Workshops
   We offer one of the largest selections of business development topics, including sector specific workshops for the creative, tourism, ICT, equine, food and beverage, fashion and manufacturing sectors.

• Marketing Strategy
• Accounting, Finance and Tax
• Human Resource Management
• Raising Capital
• Business Systems
• Exporting

3. Coaching 
   After attending a workshop you have the option of booking a one-on-one coaching session to provide advice and guidance on transferring the skills you have learned from the workshops into your business or workplace.
