The Enterprise Training Programme

WHK Business Growth is working with New Zealand Trade and Enterprise to build the management and business capability of small to medium sized businesses based in the Auckland area.

This initiative is called the Enterprise Training Programme (ETP) and is fully funded to the owners and managers of trading businesses with less than 50 full time staff.

    • Who can participate or apply?

    See eligibility criteria and application guidelines for each training programme by clicking on the titles above. But broadly speaking to participate in the Enterprise Training Programme your business must:

    • Be trading - as a business or as a sole trader / freelancer
    • Be operating for profit. Charitable Trusts are unfortunately not eligible.
    • Be the owner, operator or manager within the small to medium enterprise
    • Employ less than 50 full-time staff (Full time = 30 hours or more per week)

    What is the cost?

    The Enterprise Training Programme is fully funded by the Government. Your only investment is your time, effort and commitment.


    Where is the Enterprise Training Programme delivered?

    Training is accessible throughout Auckland with workshops running regularly in:

    • Albany
    • Auckland Central
    • BotanyHenderson
    • Kumeu
    • Manukau
    • Matakana
    • Pukekohe
    • Silverdale

    The venues at these locations are disclosed to participants once they have registered and been enrolled / accepted onto a workshop or programme

    How does it work?

    1. Business Assessment
      Once you have completed a registration form you will begin the Enterprise Training Programme with an online assessment questionnaire. This will take 15-20min to complete and only has to be done once. A WHK Business Growth advisor will then be in touch to ensure all your needs have been assessed and finally finalise your enrolement onto the workshops and programmes. 
       
    2. Workshops
      We offer one of the largest selections of business training topics, including: 
      • Business planning
      • Sales and marketing
      • Accounting, finance and tax
      • Leadership and human resource management
      • Raising capital
      • Business systems
      • Exporting and more 
    3. Coaching 
      Workshops are complemented by one-on-one coaching and are designed to provide advice and guidance on transferring the skills you have learned from the workshops into your business or workplace.
